It's been a solid year for direct to video action movies, with numerous high profile titles such as Kickboxer: Vengeance and Hard Target 2 playing to action fans' taste and nostalgia for past I.P.'s. There's also been some lousy entries, such as Steven Seagal's six or so films he released this year, although I've only seen one, End of a Gun. However, it turns out that the best has been saved for last, as Scott Adkins' latest vehicle, Eliminators, is a solid and stupendous action thriller with genuine tension and sleek beat downs. It easily usurps even theatrically released action films this year such as London Has Fallen, Criminal, Blood Father, and Mechanic: Resurrection. Check out my review here.
