Update #2
- So I've decided to say screw it to the old review format and created a new one. I was too constricted with the old lay out and feel that a review will read better if the ideas just flow out onto the page instead of having to fit into certain laid out categories. From the newest review forward, there's no going back. Therefore, Magnum Force, Death Wish 2 and 3, and The Hunted reviews will look awkward until I get the energy to change them one day.
- The Top 10 Villainous Right Hand Men and Death Wish 4: The Crackdown - Review posts are up now as well.
- For anyone curious, here are a few quick reviews of some more action films I have seen recently.
Death Wish V: The Face of Death - Lousy Death Wish finale. Not terrible, but considering how good the forth was, this is what you call lousy.
The Man of Tai Chi - A solid martial arts homage from director/star Keanu Reeves. It reminded me that Reeves is an action icon who is too often forgotten.
Broken Arrow - A cheesy and fun American John Woo blockbuster. No one edits explosions and gun fights like Woo does.
In the Line of Duty 4 - Amazing balls to the wall martial arts film with more action than my mind could comprehend. One of the best.
- I am also currently reading Bronson's Loose!: The Making of the Death Wish Films. This is a really fun read and I recommend it for everyone to purchase on Amazon! I plan on eventually doing an article on the entire Death Wish franchise too.
